Me and my partner both were in Nuwara Eliya for an overnight stay on our trip across Sri Lanka and we came across a cafe called Cafe Noshers who recommended us to Blackpool Bungalow Coffee.
It was a short journey away and if you are in the area I would strongly recommend going and meeting Asitha for a coffee and a knowledge bomb about the origins of coffee, how he has shaped his business and what I would say is the best single origin coffee roaster we’ve encountered.
This place is an absolute hidden gem and a must do if you like PROPER coffee. I wasn’t asked to provide this review, so you can rest assured it’s genuine. It was a real pleasure to be hosted here. We were treated to a tour of the museum featuring a talk about Ceylons coffee history, before ordering a delicious coffee and being shown around the garden housing a variety of coffee plants. Was lovely to sit there and soak up the afternoon sun with a cup.
We had a great experience with interesting information about coffee and its history and we had the best coffee in Sri Lanka. We are very happy that we could buy some for home as well and we are looking forward to even order some. Thank you so much! A place that’s definitely worth visiting and experiencing the great coffee!
